Abstract

With high transmissionibility and no effective vaccine or therapy, COVID-19 is now a global pandemic. Government-coordinated efforts across the globe have focused on containment and mitigation. Information and communication technologies have played a pivotal role worldwide in response to the novel corona virus COVID-19 outbreak, such as pandemic planning, proactive surveillance for rapid detection and diagnosis of infection, immediate isolation, testing, rigorous contact tracing, quarantine of the close contacts, and exceptionally high awareness and acceptance of the measures among general public etc.
